Samsung Rumored To Supply Amoled Panels For iPhone 8

As per the recent ongoing rumors, Apple is working on a larger display version of its upcoming iPhone 8, and it seems that it will come in three different sizes.

Recently, digitimes.com has stated that Apple is working on a larger display version of its upcoming smartphone, iPhone 8, and it seems that it will come in three different sizes. The reports have also stated that Samsung will be the exclusive supplier for the AMOLED panels which is said to be used in the new iPhone 8 series.
 
As per the reports, Apple’s iPhone 8 will most probably come with the options of three sizes – 4.7-inch, 5.5-inch and 5.8-inch. The 5.5-inch is rumored to come with TFT-LCD panels, which has always been used by the company, and the 5.8-inch is rumored to come with an AMOLED display. Samsung is the supplier for AMOLED and as per the ongoing rumors, Apple will finally introduce the dual-curved edge display.
 
As per other ongoing rumors, Apple will most probably be using Samsung-made curved plastic OLED panels for its upcoming iPhone 8. The famous Apple analyst Ming Chi-Kuo (KGI Securities) has, in the past, stated that there is a probability that the iPhone 8 would come with an all glass body and that the company will probably go for an OLED display. He has also stated that the upcoming iPhone 8 will be sporting wireless charging which will be quite similar to the one available on Apple Watches. Kuo states that the expected glass body of the iPhone 8 will help the users to achieve speed quickly in wireless charging, with very little interruption from frequency interference.
 
The iPhone 8 will be the tenth anniversary launch. The first iPhone was introduced to the world in 2007. Let us wait and watch what new specifications Apple brings to its iPhone 8.
