Patching with VB.NET

Question

Is ther a way to update previously writen software with a new version. If I just changed a few lines of code and want to change that in the original program can I just include those fixes?

Sorry to be funny. It is called versioning. Your Studio project has a file called AssemblyInfo.VB The file contains assembly information and one line has: When the source code is compiled the compiler uses the assembly information for the executables and library files that are created. If you used AssemblyVersion(1.0.0.0) the set-up program would bark that the version on the install computer is the current version every time you install. Using the default 1.0.* means that each compile will generate a new version. You then only have to set the DetectNewerInstalledVersion and RemovePreviousVersion properties of the setup project to True. Hope this helps
