WPF application - Authentication using Client Application Services

I have a WPF application for maintaing customer details. I want to implement the forms authentication in that. I am using VS2010 version 4.0 . I tried asp.net membership provider, it didnt work for me.also i tried the client application services, but I dont know how to create user with that, it gives me error. If some one could help me please...
