Description

Provide in-house analytical and programming support of company's public web site to assure operation without serious interruptions. Design, code, and test program logic. Assist the senior developer to establish file requirements and processing specifications. Perform programming tasks according to established standards. Thoroughly test the operation of complete programs and linkage to other programs. Create and maintain stored procedures and other SQL-based objects. Provide day-to-day programming support of assigned systems in both the problem solving and project environments.

Specific tasks include:

  • Assist in system design
  • Design program logic to meet specifications and to adhere to prescribed standards
  • Code programs in authorized language
  • Prepare test data and test coded programs to validate accuracy
  • Document programs according to installation standards
  • Fulfill administrative reporting requirements
  • Analyze requests for programming assistance and determine how to provide timely and effective support
  • Adhere to the company's defined methods, standards and policies for development and operation of systems
  • Execute all assignments in a timely, cost effective and quality manner

 

Education

  • Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or Information Systems
  • Relevant course work to include database architecture and design, systems analysis, structured analysis and programming techniques, C++, Java or equivalent

 

Experience

  • Two plus years in application development, one plus years of Microsoft .NET or JAVA development environment including ASP .NET, C#, or VB .NET
  • Two plus years in Microsoft SQL Server or other relational database
  • Familiarity with Windows security administration and maintenance techniques, HTML and XML
  • Demonstrated understanding of software life cycle development methodologies
  • Experience with Microsoft Commerce Server 2002 a plus.
