Unable to edit document meta data

Question

Hi All ,

    I have a uploaded a document of 8 mb in a document library and when i try to change the meta data properties I get error as "Unable to update the information in the Microsoft Office document " .When I try to reduce the content of the document below 5 MB it worked fine ,can anybody please suggest me as if i need to chnage any thing regading the same .
