SMTP client authentication

Question

Hi all. I've wrote a simple SMTP client application to send e-mail messages under certain circumstances by using SmtpMail and MailMessage classes but it doesn't work with servers requiring authentication. Does anybody know how to manage this point? Thanks and advance MHU

yes but I made an SMTP application which works great.You can try to cpnfigure yo PC to work as an SMTP serverand use yo own IP(127.0.0.1) in the application.

this sounds like a mail server setting. Most email servers allow you to block SMTP from external sources to prevent spammers from using your SMTP to send out their garbage. In the one I use (MDaemon) I can add trusts for both domains and IP addresses. -James
