Searching by describtion

Hi all I'm using the ms access2003 with the c# i need to search by a describtion of a specific produc in my application now i have to use the LIKE word in my query, but i'm facing a problem of how to pass the parameter of the word after LIKE word I primarily used this SQLQuery "SELECT Med_ID, Med_Name, Med_Backet_Type, Med_Unit_Type, Med_Group, Med_Place, Med_SalePrice, Med_BuyPrice, Med_Backet_qty, Med_Unit_qty FROM Medicine WHERE Med_effect_desc LIKE %?" But there is a syntax error. Thanks
