saving a Dataset in SQL Server

hi all, i have a unique problem which escapes a solution: i want to import data from hetrogeneous data-sources and save them in an sql server2000 database. i'm using VB.Net. now after considerable amount of research, i have stumbled across microsoft DTS Services. does anyone have expertise in this area? thanks in advance, vicky
