Question about xml

Because of some reason I use the new beta 2005 of c# and xml with that it works very nice but with backporting allot of xml datatypes dont excist arrays etc. or am I missing something. Else I just have to change database type. So my question is doesnt that function excist yet in .net 1.1 framework?
