query about O.S. for .net....

Question

Hello sir, 

     

      I am doing .NET course in hyderabad. As a .Net developer will it beneficial for me to learn other  O.S. like  linux ,Mac,etc because the . net is a microsoft product and generally support to windows O.S. only.
