Problem for saving the customised objects in vb.net

Question

 Hi,
 I am ruta karyakarte doing project in vb.net for HMI(Humman machine interface).
 
I suppose to draw all controls like line , reactangle,circle,polygon, arc.

And also bitmap on drawing surface. and i finished drawing these all controls. by using class and user controls.
But now i want to save these all as xml file.
And also want retrive it by using open option.

I dont want to save it as "Bitmap"
I want to change there properties like vb.net at run time.
So Please help me for the same.
Its very important for me.
I am tring it from last 2-3 months.
