pass valiable to parent control

Question

Hi All,
I have a parent countrol A and a set of child controls. Child control will be displayed based on diff button clicked on A., (diff buttons are on control A)
There is a button on one of the child control (say B). Once this button clicked, it will let control A display B.
Can someone show me how to accomplish this task?
