Newbie - How do I get VB.NET 2.0

Question

I want to develope an .EXE program that will gather data from an Excell spreadsheet and display the data in whatever format our customer desires. I was advised to use VB.NET 2.0 to develope this program, but I have no idea where to get it, or whatever software I need.

You will be better off downloading and installing FREE version of VB called Visual Basic 2005 Express: http://msdn.microsoft.com/vstudio/express/vb/default.aspx
