MySql Data Base Backup

Question

Hi to all,
Can any body tell me is it possible to take backup of mysql database through programing?
If yes, please tell me how.....
Actually I am making a web application with C#, Asp.net and the database I am using is Mysql. With the help of  mysql inbuild interface, we can take backup. But I want to get it through coding. Please suggest me the way.
