membership

Question

hi all i have 2 questions the first one how can i link between the membership database and my own database on SQL SERVER for example when the user reg. to my site i want to add the user name to my db and membership how can i do that? the second question it is on C# i added an notify icon and i set the property and i put in the form load event notifyicon1.show() but nothing happend when i run the form i hope to help me on that.

Hi friend 1. As kareem told you can create Membership tables in your existing database in sqlserver. use aspnet_regsql.exe and go step by step select an existing database and you tables will get created. 2. If you want to use the Membership usernames to be used in your StudentInfo table then you can either create and trigger on membership table or you can send the entry on the time of user is registering himself. thanx for help me but i think you did not understand me. i want to put the username from membership DB on the student info. table in my own DB how can i do that?

if u want to connect to your database its very easy to make sqlconnection esle ie u want to work with login controle and interact with aspdb u cave to add provider in your web.config as this example of code configure this code for your criteria and but them in the root if it not clear i advice u to see this link http://aspnet.4guysfromrolla.com/articles/120705-1.aspx

i created the database for the memmbership using the way u say it before. but the problem i do not know how to connect between my own db and memmbership db i want to connect the id from table in my db with the username of memmbership db. i hope to help me in that.

for your first question i think u want to add the aspdb to your db if that right u can make the follwing go to this path C:\WINDOWS\Microsoft.NET\Framework\v2.0.50727\aspnet_regsql.exe and go step by step with the wizerd happy coding
