Installation of SQL Server 2008

I want to install SQL Server on my machine. When I installing SQL server it gives compatibility issue(Server 2008 and Server 2008 R2).

I also heard that before installing Visual Studio we have to install SQL Server first, I uninstall studio and install SQL Server but same message appears. Even i uninstalled all the components of Visual Studio but no progress.
