Image Processing

Question

Hi All,

I want to track my hand motion through a web cam. It should capture only my hand movement.

and according to that movement, i want to move some object (say colored rectangle) on the screen.[like shown in example 2].

and the other thing is, the movement is motion should be as smooth as in example 2.

here below you can see some good examples for what i want to develop.
i tried this of my own using some image processing libraries, but it didn't work anyway. can anybody please help me to do this? if i can have some sample demo project, then it is better.

i know some of you can guide me. if you need further details please tell me....
