IE Deskband Object

Question

I am trying to develop a toolbar for internet explorer like google or msn. I guess they are called Band Objects. I found the article on how to create the toolbar, but how do you create buttons on it? The buttons on IE arn't just normal command buttons, they are like a button part of the band object. Can anyone point me in a good direction on how to add the buttons to band objects including he vericle line seperators? like button 1 | button 2 | butttton 2
