How to start in "edit mode" ?

Question

I get data into a dataset and fill my dataset with this dataset. I want my grid to open in "Edit Mode" when the page is loaded, which consists of a label and a text box. Such that property names are stored in labels, and corresponding values will be edited in in text boxes, and when i update with a single button whole dataset will be updated. Thanks...
