Make sure these properties of the grid are set to true: dataGridView.AllowUserToAddRows = true; dataGridView.AllowUserToDeleteRows = true; This will let you press the delete key to delete a row and will place a footer row for insertions. Editing data is enabled by default. If you now what to push these changes to the DB you will have to setup properties of your DataSource. Or manually do changes based on DataSet.HasChanges.
