how do i inherit a usercontrol from anothr user control

Question

hi all, I have a user control called base user control,i have another user control called derived user control i have a web form to which i have associated the derived control which in turn calls the base control The derived control actually sets the properties of the base control. The problem is that the page does not display anything.
