Hosting web services outside of IIS

Question

Hi all! Is there a way to host web services outside of IIS? I'm writing a business application for PDA-s that would normaly require the use of remoting. Since remoting is not included in the compact framework, I turned to web services, but I'd like to avoid using IIS if possible.
