help with ActiveX ,C#

hi, i'm doing a project on biometrics in C# and i need help on activeX, what i want to do is have the server send an activeX over to the client's browser to receive the client's fingerprint after which the client's fingerprint template will be send back to the server to be compared and if its a match the server will allow the client to log in. Can it be done? if so how should i do it?
