Help sending hex to serial port as HEx

Question

I am trying to send a intel hex file to serial port as hex. When I send it the hex shows up in text window and the hex window shows the hex of what i am trying to send as if it were a text string. For example when I try to send "FF" the text window shows "FF" and the hex window shows "46 46" I need a way to Send FF so that the hex window actually shows "FF" I am using VB2008

Wellif i remember right hexidecimal is in the form 0x000000. the value you are passing is only 0x0000FF which should convert to 255. As such how your system is getting 46 46 is damn good question. Have you put in any breakpoints to see where the conversion is? Also technically speaking hexidecimal value is not representable. What you can do is convert the hex into other data types. Hex is one the only data type that is the base data type for all others. All data types ( Int32 String Double Variant etc ) all convert to Hex after being compiled.
