help new to vb net converting code

Question

Hi; I'm having a problem typing in the code for converting miles into the metric form kil's. The main problem is I've done VB 6 with little or noproblem. Now I keep trying to mix the two. I picked up the VB Net book at the local library too see if it was worth going into. In the program I have 2 buttons (exit,convert),2 lables (miles,kilometers) 1 text box,and one pic box according to the directions,but I think I'd sooner use 2 text boxes. Any help would be appreicated. Thanks
