Giving access to the web application

Question

Hi,
I have a problem with assigning access to the web application i bulit. I have pages with edit buttons .There are certain no. of people which use the edit button and make changes.Now they should not be able to use the edit button(still see the data they edited). But still the sysadmin should be able to use it. As a quick solution i made edit button inactive but sysadmin cannot the use the button. I need suggestions in making this possible.
