endInit() method starting unknown threads. help

Question

int the form initialisation method, at the very end , some of the components use the endInit() method. this causes unknown threads to start up,and when i close my program, it remains in memory due to theese threads. why? one of the components causing this is the System.timers.timer. any ideas? i have to get this sorted before thurstday
