2 dropdownlists in datagrid

Question

Hi all I have created a simple ASP.NET page which contains: datagrid (editable) and 2 dropdownlists in column A and B in one row (when datagrid is in edit mode). Both lists were filled with data from datatable. Now i must make a modification: content of list B must depends on selected value of list A (they are in the same datarow). When I select something in list A content of list B must change. How can I do that? Anyone can give me some clue? How to set order of bindings to make it work? I have tried to think out this problem myself but I think that I am not so good in .NET thank you Ravenek (...the beginner in ASP.NET)

you need to add post back event to the drop down control in datagrid. i suppose you'll need to to this: 1. add datagrid onitem created event or on item data bound (this.dgSubRules.ItemCreated += new System.Web.UI.WebControls.DataGridItemEventHandler(this.dgSubRules_Item_Created); ) then in the dgSubRules_Item_Created(object sender datagridcommandeventargs e) { if(e.item.itemtype == item || e.item.itemtype == alternating item ) { dropdown dd = (dropdown) ( (DataGridItem)s.item)l.FindControl(dropdowncontrolId); dd.onchange += new eventhendler(method name) } } after that you write method that will handle post back event of the drop down list. Note: dropdownlist must be server control. So actually in item created(databound) in the datagrid you find dropdown control and you add postback event handler in which you will change selected item in the second dropdown. Hope this help
