Do I have Access DB installed in order to run application ? help

Hi , I want to develop an application that uses ODBC to connect MS Access file . Do I have office installed on my computer ? My role is to spread the application , but I don't want to force the clients to install any kind of database. Actually , it doesn't have to be Access . Any kind of solution can be examine . please tell me what you think . thanks , uri
