Display related values after an input

Question

hi,

i'm doing a MVC4 form filling project , in which i need to display some details from the database after entering an id (Ex: Need to display "students name","gender","department"  and "year" after entering  "students id").

the data which i need to populate is already stored in the database. these data should be displayed by pressing tab key after entering the "students ID".

 how can i do this?

 what are the steps that i want to follow to complete this task?
