develop a record search screen - C#2008

Question

i want to develop a screen which is provided with different search criterias and the search should be narrow down as per criteria added in search criteria.
using oracle 10g with data adapters, wot should be the professional approach to  do that.

FYI  using a datagrid as record viewer and text boxes for  entring/adding search criteria.
