console application

Question

  i am new to vb dot net but i have worked asp dpt net. i need details about vb dot net console application programs and what is the use, if am starting to execute console program before that i have set the path from vb command prompt but if i execute one program it will reset the execute process so that i will set the path in command prompt againg and again. please help me to know the details about in vb dot net.
