ComException: HRESULT 0x800A1F45

Question

Hello! I need help. I have impoted the MS Comm Control 6 in MS Visual Studio .net 2003 and am using the control in C#. I tried to open ComPort #4 to receive GPS data through USB. However, I couldnt' open it, everytime, it gave me the following exception: System.RunTime.InteropServices.ComException(0x800A1F45): HRESULT 0x800A1F45 Could somebody kind enough to help me solve this problem? Any suggestion would be appreciated! Regards, Stephen

Nevermind solved it :o) The comport wasn't being explicitly closed after each connection.

Does anyone know why this error happens? I am trying to connect to a gsm modem using c# via mscomm to send a binary sms. The first time the connection goes fine the message is sent etc but if I then try to send a second or subsequent sms it throws this error. Could anyone shed some light on this? Regards Caid
