comboBox items from access table?

Question

hi all how can i make the items of a comboBox obtained from a column in access databse so i can select from it an item exist in the table also...............if i want to make search .........how could this be implemented knowing that i am using the dataset (disconnected level)............ thanks too much for help in advance

If I am understanding right... comboBox1.DataSource= dataset.Tables[whatever] comboBox1DisplayMember= Column Name comboBox1.ValueMember= Value column name; As far as a search you could get the item selected and use that as a value in your SELECT or Stored Proc. string whatever= comboBox1.SelectedValue.ToString(); There are many ways in which you could use a comboBox for a search tool
