combo box

Question

i have a combo box that i want to fill with text to display and an id in the background. i dont want to databind the control in anyway but add the data in through code. like a listview you use the listviewitem collection. for a combo box what do you use. tried the listviewitem. it work but displays badly. in the old vb you had the itemdata tag anyone got any code that they can show me cheers keith
