Capturing Text From A Chat Window In Another Application

Hi All, I was wondering if somebody could tell me how I could automatically capture the text in a chat window running in another application (whose name / handle changes slightly each time but always particular keywords). I want to have the chat text available in my application as and when it is entered into the chat window. Adam
