Can i create a custom datagrid that is not bound to any Database table

Question

Hi, I am trying to create a datagrid that has 4 columns,3 of which have a Dropdownlist and one column has a textbox.All the DropDownlist have hardcoded values and I dont want to bind the datagrid with any database table. All i want to have is this DataGrid with the above mentioned controls. Now,when i select anything from the third DropDown, it should fire an event and generate a new row in the DataGrid. I am facing a problem in the very initial stage, i.e the grid is not displayed at all, is it because it isnt bound to any database table? Please help me with this ,or if you can suggest any other way of achieving this. Thanks, Aarti Kaur
