Calendar component

Question

Hi guys! Have an interesting task given by my lecturer. I am not sure whether is it possible to make the project out, but anyway here is the scope.

In a GUI, a user can open a excel file through calendar component in C#.
Open a excel file is refering to importing the excel file to a datagridview in C#.
Excel files are stored in a folder in the PC. 

If any of you guys are free, you can try this out! 
I myself is also trying to work this out, rather challenging although I know most likely is impossible :p
