Beginning VB.Net Question

Question

I am taking my first course in VB.Net. I need to complete a program that needs to have a three line sentance such as "You need [x amount of points] to get to 100" I have two questions: 1. How to insert the number of points required? I have a sum and need to insert remaining points needed to get to 100. 2. How do I insert a carriage return so this shows up in a message box on three lines. I have the message box created but cannot figure out how to insert a carriage return. thanks, Steve

Hi! Iam a beginner in vb.net. The spacing on the previous post is off so I'm reentering it here: Make your textbox Multiline property True and resize the box. 1- Save your number value and convert it to a string. Concatenate the string using the & symbol. 2- The vbCrLf constant is used for a carriage-return/line-feed. Concatenate it along with the rest of your string. Here is an example: Private Sub Button1_Click(ByVal sender As System.Object ByVal e As System.EventArgs) Handles Button1.Click Dim snum As String num As Integer = 25 snum = Convert.ToString(num) TextBox1.Text = The number  & snum &  is here. & vbCrLf & Next line End Sub Note: If you string is very long you can continue editing on the next line by inserting a line continuation character following a space at the end of the line. The character is an underline. For example: TextBox1.Text = The number  & snum &  is here. & vbCrLf & Next line & _ More text here and more and more and more & vbCrLf & Another new line _ & Keep on going
